The data used is courtesy of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). The amounts shown are percentage changes in the each carrier's average rate as approved by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA).
This chart represents a small sample of the larger insurance carriers in Ontario.
Rate changes will vary depending on the Insurance Company's individual rating criteria (i.e. vehicles, vehicle use, territory, driving record, etc.). For example, 2 drivers with the extact same vehicle. One of the drivers could have an increase in insurance and the other could have an even greater increase or maybe even a decrease. Reason, one of the drivers uses the vehicle for business and the other just uses the vehicle for pleasure.
